Boucheron - Vendorama
Digitizing the 160th anniversary of the luxury house

problem
To mark its 160th anniversary, which will be a year punctuated by numerous events, Maison Boucheron wanted to kick off 2018 with a landmark event that would anchor the brand in the present while enhancing its heritage, and introduce the general public to a world they've only come into contact with from afar: Vendôrama, a short-lived exhibition at the Monnaie de Paris.
solution
The House of Boucheron is an iconic brand with a unique history and heritage, embodying a world that the general public sees as inaccessible, especially young people who are tomorrow's customers. Our recommendation was therefore to provide Vendôrama with a digital experience. By inserting the technological experience into the physical exhibition, a link is created between the brand's past and its future, using the codes of this new audience to better convey its heritage and let itself be discovered.
The exhibition route has been skilfully constructed around the different stages in the creation of a jewel, from its birth to its presentation. Inspiration, design, manufacture and revelation: a scene has been imagined for each of these moments.
A fun, immersive journey into the world of Boucheron
A virtual reality application available on smartphones enabled visitors to take a playful tour of the exhibition. Guided by the mischievous Wladimir, the brand's emblematic cat, they were able to discover anecdotes about the house and its history, obtain additional information, but also see sketches colorize, as if a designer were working before their very eyes.
A unique sensory and interactive experience
On a multi-touch digital table, visitors were able to marvel at the craftsmanship of the jewelers and admire the precision of their gestures. Three interactive books were also on offer, enabling visitors to discover the rich history of the Maison.
Design
The design of the applications has taken up the codes of luxury and of the Boucheron house, while suggesting modernity without being incompatible with its history.
